David Parsons

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, David brings over 10 years of experience developing innovative digital solutions for leading wireless, cable, and Internet providers.

Prior to VideoLantern David directed the programming team for RCN Telecom Services, a leading cable, high-speed Internet and phone service provider in the most densely populated US markets. He expanded RCN’s emerging digital services (e.g. digital carriage, video on demand and HD) and introduced differentiated program packaging options.

Previous to RCN, David was with Nextel Communications (now SprintNextel) where he launched Nextel’s first digital handsets and created innovative b-to-b partnerships with leading digital companies to facilitate adoption of wireless navigation, productivity, commerce and entertainment services.

David began his career in the not-for-profit space at Special Olympics International where he managed sponsor relations and helped coordinate the 25th anniversary celebration held at Disney’s Epcot Center.

David received an MBA and an MALS degree from Georgetown University. He received a BA degree from Boston College.

Dan Bernoske

Co-Founder

Dan is a highly competitive leader with a natural affinity toward cutting edge technologies.

Before VideoLantern, Dan was head of product management at RCN Telecom Services where he and his team managed landline and wireless voice, high speed internet, Video on Demand, and various other advanced video technologies.

Prior to RCN, Dan was with Nextel Communications (now SprintNextel) where as product manager his accomplishments include the initial launch and management of key products for Boost Mobile, the introduction of the 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series wireless phones, and the 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series FanView wireless video product. Dan received Nextel’s Top Innovator Award after creating 7 product patent concepts for submission to the US Patent & Trademark Office.

Dan began his corporate career with GE Information Services in the product marketing group. He is a certified Green Belt in the GE Six Sigma quality & process improvement methodology and attended the GE Leadership Development Center in Crotonville, New York.

Dan spent two years in Belize, Central America as Vice-Principal of Mount Carmel High School and founded Belize Youth Soccer, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Dan is a graduate of the Franciscan University in Ohio with a BS in Business Marketing.

Doug Kortrey

Adviser – Legal Affairs

Doug Kortrey is an in-house attorney who has served various communications and technology companies, in the areas of telecommunications, licensing (software, content and other intellectual property), e-commerce and manufacturing. He holds the position of VP, Legal Affairs North America at IPC Systems, Inc., a leading provider of indispensable trading communications to the world’s leading financial service firms and global enterprises.

Doug offers almost 15 years of experience providing legal and business advice to innovators of voice and video technology in negotiations of service agreements, marketing and distribution agreements and domestic and international outsourcing arrangements. Doug formerly served RCN Corporation, a leading provider of cable, high-speed internet and phone service to densely populated US markets, as VP and Assistant General Counsel,where he routinely drafted and negotiated programming and other agreements for content distribution over cable and internet outlets. Prior to RCN, Doug spent 6 years in private practice.

Doug holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Rutgers University and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Tim Dunne

Adviser — Digital Media & Business Development

Tim Dunne is currently the Chief Operating Officer at a leading, global process analytics software and services company, Martin Dawes Analytics. He is accountable to growing and scaling the business to optimize shareholder value. Previously Tim was VP, Business Operations at fixed wireless network provider, Nextlink Wireless.

Prior to that he was Chief Technology Officer at triple play provider, RCN Corporation. He lead digital media, business development, and web functions at Nextel Communications. Prior to that he spent 14 years at Bell Atlantic/Verizon in various positions ending as Chief Operating Office at a online e-telco. He has a passion for new technology, growing and scaling new businesses.
